Reworking
Existing Websites
September 2007
I've started up three new
websites since I "retired" two months ago (tomorrow).
But I am also spending a lot of time repairing things I didn't do well with
existing sites and even with Phuket North which was the model for this site.
Because I was working full time when I created the site - it seems I was a
bit too rushed - the search engine optimization was very poorly done and the
two menus I used really slowed down the loading of the pages. I have spent
a couple days repairing all of that and the site should perform MUCH better
now.
My schedule these days is like "batch processing" on computers - a lot of
one thing only - then on to something else - only.
I bring up a new site and work ONLY on that, and when it is done - I work on
my existing sites and try to improve their performance. If an affiliate is
not working - I replace it. If the Google click through rate is low I
experiment a bit with where the ads are.
Having a great time though. Come on board!
I have to add that bringing up the new sites has been very exciting!
